Terms of service

1. Definitions
Alvessa: the platform connecting supply and demand for in-home services (current focus: home massage in Utrecht; customer bookings are not open yet). Customer: the person booking a service via Alvessa. Provider: the independent professional offering services through Alvessa. Booking: the in-home service booked via the platform.
2. Applicability
These terms apply to all use of the Alvessa platform and all agreements concluded through the platform.
3. Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed after successful payment via Stripe. The customer pays the full amount upfront. Alvessa retains a platform fee from the amount paid out to the provider.
4. Cancellation
Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee of 50% of the booking price. Refunds are processed via the original payment method.
5. Provider obligations
The provider performs the service carefully and professionally and is responsible for meeting the legal requirements that apply to offering services independently. The provider acts as an independent contractor and is not an employee of Alvessa.
6. Liability
Alvessa is an intermediary platform and is not liable for damages arising from the performance of the service itself. The provider bears their own responsibility for this. Alvessa's liability for direct damages is limited to the amount of the relevant booking.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent Dutch court.
